Join us for an open house on Monday, March 14 to learn about the three Imagine Kenmore project lists that City Council is considering to improve parks, recreation, walking, and bicycling facilities and summarize the public input that shaped those packages. Only one of the three project lists will move forward for further consideration. The open house will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Kenmore City Hall, 18120 68th Ave NE.
That same evening during the 7 pm City Council meeting, the City Council will vote to select one list of projects to go on a potential ballot measure, which will then be tested through a statistically valid public opinion survey. After the survey, the Council will decide whether to take a ballot measure to the community for a vote, which would likely be later this year.
In the fall of 2015, the City collected residents’ ideas on how to improve parks, recreation, walking, and bicycling facilities. Outreach was conducted online, in-person, and through a statistically valid phone survey. The City used this input, along with information on project design, cost, and financing options, to develop three potential packages of projects for a potential voter approved ballot measure.
The City Council meeting agenda will be available on the City’s website prior to the March 14 meeting: http://kenmorewa.gov/council.
